South Kingstown Schools: 2024-2025 Year in Review
As the school year draws to a close, we’re taking a moment to reflect on an amazing journey filled with learning, creativity, community, and heart. From the first day to the final bell, our students, teachers, families, and staff came together to celebrate what makes South Kingstown Schools so special.
Celebrating Our Students and Staff This year, countless achievements and milestones were reached. Our graduates conquered academic challenges and shone in the arts, athletics, and leadership. Hats off to the Class of 2025! Your perseverance, talent, and kindness made us proud every single day. Whether or not, you performed on stage in "Shrek the Musical," led a field day, or took home honors as Student of the Week, you left a lasting legacy for others to follow.
Our teachers continued to inspire—lifting up their classes and supporting one another. Special shoutouts to our Teacher of the Year Kate Bubrick, our Crystal Apple Award winners, and all of our staff! Your passion drives our district forward.
Community Spirit & School Events The year was packed with so many memorable moments and engaging events: Spirit soared during Field Day, Kindergarten celebrations, and BRMS and SKHS's “Chalk It Up.” We embraced hands-on learning through frog dissections, preschool dramatic play, and creative art showcases across the district.
Projects like the annual food drive and blood drive reminded us what it means to give back, collecting donations to support our neighbors in need. Students across grade levels worked on impactful projects, presenting pursuits in art, music, technology, and community service. Positive Quotes and kindness initiatives encouraged us to lift one another up and make kindness go viral.
Athletics, Arts, and Achievements Athletic teams competed with heart, making deep playoff runs and celebrating senior nights. Our music, drama, and visual arts programs dazzled, from all-state musicians to the annual musical.
We also witnessed inspiring academic growth, with students rising to new challenges in literacy, math, and STEM. “Student of the Week” posts highlighted extraordinary commitment, leadership, and character, proof that learning happens inside and outside the classroom.
Looking Behind the Scenes
None of this would be possible without the incredible behind-the-scenes work of our support staff, keeping technology up-to-date, facilities running smoothly, and communication consistent. Their efforts make everything else possible.
The Road Ahead As we say farewell to another school year, we’re already looking ahead. We’re excited for our new high school building project, technology upgrades, and more opportunities for students to learn and grow.
Thank you to everyone in the South Kingstown community for making 2024-2025 a year to remember.
