ART NEWS…
Art Show Help Needed.  The Art Show is on May 29th.  I am looking for help to set up on Thursday, May 29th, starting at 1:45 pm.  If you can help out, please e-mail (hharrington@skschools.net)  or see Mrs. Harrington.
Many thanks to Annmarie Mahoney, Cindy Azza, Maria Camarena and Nathalie Rivas for preparing the artwork for the show.  Your dedication and spirit are inspiring.  Thank you!

LOCK DOWN/EVACUATION DRILLS..
We will be having a lock down drill and an evacuation drill some time during the week of June 2nd.  We are required to have two of these drills each year.

PTO NEWS…
ATTENTION – TONIGHT IS THE LAST PTO MEETING OF THE YEAR!
Please join us tonight at 7 pm in the library for our last meeting.  Tonight we are holding our elections for next year’s board, as well as, discussing end of the year activities and possible ideas for next year.  There is no better time to get involved and find ways to help your child’s elementary school be amazing!  We are always looking for new faces to come and join the fun, and yes, we do have fun!  So, please give us just one hour of your time and check it out!

Teacher Appreciation Week
Thanks to all who have baked, sent food in, or helped with preparing for this week’s teacher breakfast and luncheon.  We truly appreciate your help and time as we show the staff how much we appreciate them and what they do for our children!

Popcorn Friday
Last week’s Popcorn Friday was another success!  Mrs. Nolan’s fifth grade class was in charge this day and did a great job taking orders, collecting and counting the money, delivering the popcorn back to each classroom.  The fifth grade class was able to raise $125.00 for their classroom!!!  This week is Mr. Kelly’s class that will be in charge of popcorn duties.
We added salt to the popcorn and it was well received by all!  So, don’t forget your 50 cents for this Friday – it is the last Popcorn Friday of the year.  Next year each class will have a turn in being the popcorn kids!
Thanks to all who helped with the production of Popcorn Friday; it can’t be done without you!
If you have any questions, please contact Tricia Angeli @ 783-7889 or triciaangeli@cox.net.

Art Show/Book Fair/Ice Cream Social
One of the children’s favorite events is coming up, so mark your calendars!  On Thursday, May 29th, 6-8 pm at the school, we are having our Art show, book fair and ice cream social.  We are still in need of volunteers for this event.  If you can volunteer to work the fair, please call or email Patty (789-5111, jreardon7@cox.net) or Dena (788-3699, dmggjg@cox.net) and let us know when you can help.
There are several ways to help.  We need help setting up the fair after school on Tuesday, 5/27 (3:15-5:00).  You could enjoy the classrooms visiting during school hours on Wed. and Thurs., 5/28-29.  We need volunteers to work during the Ice Cream Social/Art Show (5/29, 6-8 pm).  And, finally, we need people to help us close up the book fair or empty out the gym Thursday night after the Ice Cream Social/Art Show (8:00ish).  Let us know how you can help.  Every little bit is appreciated.
