We need your help!!!!!
    We still need volunteers to help on the day of the event.  We need people to face paint, make a craft with kids, sell popcorn and baked goods.  We also need volunteers to donate items for our bake sale table.
    Whatever time you can give for this day would be greatly appreciated.  If you know of any older children who need community service hours, we can have them help out with the craft tables or face painting.
    Please contact Tricia Angeli to set up a schedule.  We have lots of great vendors that will be set up for you to get some shopping done on this day, as well as a show put on by the school chorus.  So come on out and help support the school and your children!!!!!  Please contact Tricia Angeli at 783-7889 or triciaangeli@cox.net.

Basket Raffle
Please remember to send in your donation for the basket raffles.  They are needed by Nov. 21st so the baskets can be put together and wrapped.  They will be raffled off during the Vendor Day on December 1st.  Baskets will be on display during Parent/Teacher Conferences on Wednesday, November 28th.  Tickets will be in the office during conferences.  In case you lost the list, please check this one to see what your child should bring:

Event Photos
If anyone has any pictures from any school events that they would like to be considered for the yearbook, please send a hard copy to the school in an envelope addressed to the PTO via backpack, or email pictures to mcromack1@cox.net.

Hawk-A-Thon
    Congratulations to the 196 students who earned the 2nd Responsibility Award for returning their pledge envelopes (even if blank) by November 6th!  Thanks to APC for the donated water bottles which were awarded.
    Many thanks to all who supported this fun fundraiser!  Your donations will be used to enhance the elementary school experience for the West Kingston Elementary children.   There is still time to send in pledge money.  If you are planning to, please send in your donations to the office.
    Our sincerest thanks to the URI Athletic Dept for the generous donation of a voucher for each student to receive two tickets to a 2007-08 URI Women’s Basketball home game.  Every WK student will be awarded this in recognition for their outstanding effort in our healthy choice event!  Look for these in the backpacks on Monday.

Hawk Gear
    Our Hawk Gear sale is underway.  Please send in your order forms and checks payable to WKES PTO by Nov. 16th.  This is a great way to show your Hawk pride.
    Due to requests by some parents, we are now offering the option to have your child’s name embroidered on your sweatshirt on the front right chest for an additional $5.  If you’re already sent in your order, please send a second check with the name clearly printed as it should appear on the shirt.  If you’ve not yet sent yours in and would like to add the name, please print it on your form and add $5 to your total.  Questions, call Deb Sprague @ 792-9131.

Babysitting Needed
We are in need of babysitters for the afternoon PTO meetings every other month.  If you have someone or know someone in need of volunteer hours or community service, please contact Tricia Angeli at 783-7889.

Coats for Kids
    It’s time to dig out your children’s old coats, mittens, boots, etc…  We are collecting these items as well as new hats to donate to the Jonnycake Center in Peace Dale.
    If you would like to donate any items, there is a box in the main office area until November 21st.  If you have any questions, please contact the school nurse, Debi Vannoy.  Thanks for your support!

Sox Hood Caps
We are no longer collecting the Sox Hood Caps.  Thanks to all who sent them in before the deadline.

School Store
The School Store will be open Friday.  Following are the dates and which grades will be allowed to shop through December:
Grades 2, 4 & 5 are scheduled Nov. 16, Dec 7 & 21.
Grades 1, 3 & 5 are scheduled Nov 30 & Dec 14
