PTO NEWS…
Spring Art Show, Ice Cream Social and Book Fair
What a great night!!!
Congratulations to our school full of wonderful artists.  This display showed spectacular effort and creativity of all of the students.  Thanks to Mrs. Harrington for a great year of sparking these students to reach for the stars.
Many thanks to all volunteers, parents and staff, who helped prepare the artwork for display and helped set up and take down all of these masterpieces!
The many, many smiling faces of those enjoying a fun night of ice cream sundaes with family and friends is proof of a great event.  Thanks to Holly Foley who has done a fantastic job chairing this event for several years and her team of volunteers who certainly scooped with a smile.  Special thanks to Mrs. Ferguson and Mrs. Shumate for scooping at this event.
The attendance at the Book Fair shows that there will be a lot of reading going on in West Kingston Elementary homes this summer.  Thanks to all volunteers who helped make this event possible during school hours and at the social.  Special thanks to Stephanie Foster who has chaired book fairs for many years at WKES and to Patty Reardon and Dena Gonsalves for co-chairing this great year with Stephanie.  The PTO is proud to announce that once again this year this book fair’s profits will be used to provide each WKES student with a book to read over the summer.  These will come home via backpack soon.  Thanks to Mrs. Ferguson for her work on this project!

FROM THE NURSE…
Just a reminder – If your child has medication at school, please remember to pick it up.  Also, there will be a new med form for the 2007-2008 school year in the bag with your child’s medicine.  Please have the doctor fill it out before September and send in with your child’s medication if they will be needing the medication again next year.  The form is the same one that is needed for the middle school.
By State law, we cannot dispense prescription medicine without a doctor’s order which must be updated each year.  Any questions, feel free to call me @ 360-1178.
