PTO Board Members Needed!
A few of our veteran board members are completing their
terms. We are looking for a few volunteers to keep our PTO thriving. YOU
would be perfect to work on the PTO Board!!!!!! Yes, YOU! Please
consider sharing your time and talents on the PTO Board as a way to help create
great memories for your child. New, fresh ideas keep activities
fun and exciting for the kids. You have great ideas and would be a great
addition to the Board. Consider job sharing with a friend
or two. It’s not hard and others will show you what
needs to be done. NOW is the time for you to make a difference!

more about how you can help? Contact Nancy at nasanta cox.net.

FROM THE NURSE…
Asthma Camp 2007
June 24-28
Asthma Camp is an overnight camp
located at Canonicus Camp and Conference Center in Exeter, RI. The
cabins are air-conditioned and the campers are housed by gender and
age group. Counselors are hand-picked to ensure your child enjoys
camping and educational activities.
Campers receive excellent medical support in a 24-hour clinic
staffed by on-site physicians, respiratory therapists and nurses. Medications
are very closely monitored according to the instructions of your child’s
doctor. Each camper will take his or her own medications to camp.
Priority selection is given to children:
- With severe asthma
- Who have not previously been to camp
- Who have participated in an educational workshop sponsored by the
Community Asthma Programs.
Call 444-8340 to register.
Campers, ages 9 to 13, will be selected from the applications
received by May 1, 2007.
How much does it cost?
Camperships have been made possible through the generosity of our community,
and part or all of the camp cost ($495.00) is likely to be offered
for your child. Camperships will make it possible for all children
with asthma to consider Asthma Camp 2007.
Activities
Swimming, Archery, Canoeing, Arts & Crafts, Water Slide, Field
Games, Fishing.
For additional information call: Chris Camillo, Director of Asthma
Camp 2007, Community Asthma Programs of Hasbro Children’s Hospital,
