have Homework Club at Wakefield, West Kingston and Peace Dale Schools.
Homework Club ends for the year April 26th. Students

learned at Homework Club for the remainder of the year!

Family Pasta Supper & Basket Raffle

Plans are underway for a West Kingston Family Pasta Supper
and Basket Raffle. The West Kingston Family Pasta Supper will be held
Wed., April 11th at Curtis Corner Middle School. Watch the backpacks
for ticket order forms. Tickets must be purchased in advance for this
event in order that plans can be made for food orders and fire code restrictions. This
will be a fun night to share a family meal with school friends. Thanks
to Meshelle Chabot for chairing this event.
Items for the baskets that will be raffled off at the Pasta
Supper will be collected by classrooms. These baskets will be assembled
and then auctioned and raffled off at the Pasta Supper. Flyers are coming
home today with details of your child’s classroom. Proceeds from
the Basket Raffle/Auction will be used to enhance WK’s Literacy Library.
SPRING BOOKFAIR / ART SHOW / ICE CREAM SOCIAL…
This great annual event is scheduled for Thursday,
June 7th. Our art teacher, Mrs. Harrington, is currently looking
for parent volunteers who will be able to assist in matting and labeling artwork
for the show. NO PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED!
This process is on-going and a great undertaking for over
350 students’ work to be on exhibit. Whatever time you can donate
will make a huge difference. Please contact Mrs. Harrington at hharrington@skschools.net to
let her know when you could donate some time to help get some of the art ready
for the show.
PTO Purchase
The PTO is proud to announce that we’ve purchased a new laminator
for our school. At the February meeting the members voted to approve
this purchase as it is used by all classes/teachers for many, many projects
for our children. Thanks to all who assist in fundraising.
