This session is full.  Classes will be held on Tuesdays, January 9, 16, 23, 30 and February 6 & 13.

Roller Skating Party
Join in for a fun night of skating with friends and family.  Mark your calendar for Wednesday, January 31st, 6-8 pm!  The PTO will sponsor a WKES family skating party at the Ocean Club in Narragansett.  Students and their parents are invited to an all-school roller skating party.  Bring your roller blades (helmets are encouraged).  There is no admission fee.  Families are asked to bring canned goods or cleaning products which will be donated to the Welcome House.   Skate rentals will be provided for those who need them.  Parents/adults are required to remain at the rink to supervise their children.  Please contact Mrs. Nettik if you are in need of transportation.

Yearbook Pictures
We are actively compiling the 2006-2007 Yearbook and, as always, are looking for photos of school events.  If you have pictures of school events (Hawk-a-thon, last year’s 4th grade play, last year’s field day, or any others), please send them along.  Digital photos on a disc are best, but photographs on photo lab paper will work equally as well.  All photos can be deposited in the “Yearbook” envelope in the office.  Thank you for your helping creating a memorable yearbook for all students.  Digital photos can be e-mailed to Deb Sprague at michaelsprague@cox.net.  Mary Daly

School Store
The school store will be open again on January 19th.

S.I.T. MEETING…
Margaret Della Bitta, a science teacher at SK High School and a SALT fellow, will meet with the School Improvement Team at 3:30 pm, January 30th, in the school library.
The State Department of Education makes Fellows available to train SALT teams and give advice and information to schools preparing for a SALT visit.
West Kingston School is beginning preparation for our SALT visit in April 2008.
This meeting will take place of the January 18th meeting, which is canceled.

CELEBRATION BOOKS…
The new order of Celebration Books are in.  Please support the library and the readers by buying a Celebration Book to celebrate a birthday, good report card, or other milestone in your child’s life.  Thank you to the Costa-Pierce, Noons, Nieves, and Magee families for their recent support.

BOX TOPS – BOX TOPS – BOX TOPS…
Please keep up the clipping and collecting of the BOX TOPS.  If you’re not sure that it makes a difference – it does – every one!  This year, so far, we have collected $781.70!!!  Just think how this money can help our kids.  Thanks to all who have been clipping.
