Kindergarten Registration
DATES: April 5, 6, 7, 8 April 12, 13, 14 and April 26, 27, 28
Appointments are 1- hour long and may be made at the following times:
9:00am 10.00 am 11:00 am 12:30 pm 1:30 pm 2:30 pm
Kindergarten Registration and Screening will take place at
South Road Elementary School, 1157 South Road, Wakefield, RI 02879

Wondering if your child is ready for an all-day kindergarten program? Check the guidelines below.
At the time of registration, please bring:
1. Child's birth certificate. No copies please.
2. Proof of residency (may be in the form of a current mortgage payment, lease, rental payment, utility bill or tax bill.
3. A certified copy of current immunization, dates must include day, month, year of each dose administered and must be signed by physician or his/her designee.
* You will not be able to register your child if you do not bring their up-to-date immunization records with you. The school nurse will inform you about boosters that are needed.
4. If there are custody/guardian issues, please bring the appropriate paperwork.
Please be on time for your appointment.
Please allow 1 hour for registration and screening. While parents are filling out the forms, children will be screened in another room. Children will be screened in early literacy and mathematics. Our screeners will make every effort to put your child at ease. Results will be reported by means of a letter.
