Topic Action Items/Decisions
1.Student Interest Survey for Career Day John passed out the results of the Learning for Life Student Interest Survey. Lori Dufficy will review the list of last year’s presenters and match with student interests. She will make recommendations on # of presenters and in what fields at the next meeting.

2.Career Day Planning Sarah will ask Marge Johnson, local life coach and former teacher to be one of the motivational speakers to open up the Career Day. Stephanie Straight will identify some other possible speakers. Jack Siravo will be considered as possible speaker on the day.

3. Other Suggestions for Career Day:

1. Have students choose at least one career booth to visit that they’ve never considered.
2. Use the small gym
3. Rose to get signs from URI for presenter booths.
4. Increase representation from trades.
5. Have CARES volunteers available to help guide students.
6. Have coffee and muffins in a.m. and box lunches. PTG will be asked to provide the muffins.
7. Start earlier to provide more preparation for students including overview of careers and lessons in how to introduce self and ask questions.
8. Give teachers and parents more advanced notice so they can tie lessons and discussion to event.
